Tier 2 Visa Termination

Hello,

I would like to know how does the process work regarding the termination of a Tier 2 Visa. In case of resignation, does the employer have to notify UKBA within 10 days after the resignation date, or within 10 days after the last working day (including the notice period)?
I have a 90 day notice period and apparently only 60 days of grace are allowed once the visa has been curtailed, so if the employer notifies UKBA just after resignation, it may not be possible to complete the whole of the notice period?
