Took just over 3 months. The only thing I am not happy about the delivery of registration certificate is that if I remember correctly, when I got my certificate 4 years ago, they sent it with a thick cardboard in an envelope so that the certificate would not get folded or damaged during the delivery. They seemed to have stopped sending the certificate with the cardboard for protection. Unfortunately my child's certificate was shoved into the mailbox by the postman and it was wrinkled all over. Not very happy.

03/10/17: just checked home office website and still on “awaiting a decision” .
I hope we will receive certificates and passports this month it’s been more then 3 months now .

I think by next week we will receive passports and certificates , I can see from other post that they have received in 3 to 4 months . So fingers crossed .

21/10/17: Received approval from home office and called passport office for passports they said you will receive passports in 20 days .
Certificates has been posted by home office hopefully will receive anytime next week .
The whole process took 4 months for me .

Updated: Got the certificate after waiting over 3 months for something that should take 2 weeks. But all is well that ends well. Thanks to everyone for the information you provide on this forum.

I have applied my son's citizenship in July and the status page still says 'Awaiting a decision'
My timelines:

Applies through JCAP Enfield -------- 28/06/2017
Application receipt email acknowledgement --------- 06/07/2017

Biometric given in a nearby postoffice -------- 10/07/2017

No other updates since then, No communication from HO too. Status page still says 'Awaiting a decision'.
They had an application date as 05/07/2017 in the status page, looks like they removed that date now.
