Tier 2 Dependent Visa for New Born

Post by avaixhah » Fri Dec 01, 2017 4:29 pm

Hi All,

I am in UK on Tier 2 General Visa and my wife got Tier 2 dependent visa. We have blessed with a baby recently and i want to know how to apply for baby visa. could you please advise on following

Which form I have to fill in (i guess i have to fill on her behalf ...she can't type :))
I would be able to apply for ILR in 2019 so do i need to pay for baby's health surcharge for the next 3 years i.e.£600 or I can pay for next 2 years during which I will get my ILR and she will get citizenship. can i save £200 for an extra year?
Do i still need to show maintenance fund for her application??

many thanks in advance

Syed

Hi,

So i need to pay IHS for my daughter for next 3 years when she will be on dependent for next 1.5 years only? As this is the time when I'll get my ILR and she will become British.

You pay IHS for the length of the visa, which will be a 3 year PBS visa usually. When does your Tier 2 General expire?

My Tier 2 General visa expires in March 2020 but I''ll be completing my 5 years period in March 2019. So at that time my daughter will get citizenship, Why would I need to pay her IHS for the full three years when she only need for 1.5 years.

She will be issued with a visa to expire when yours does. This, and IHS, has nothing to do with her being eligible to register for citizenship.
