English Language Requirement - FLR (M)

Post by raheel038 » Tue Jan 23, 2018 11:34 am

Hi,
I have just found out about the English Language requirement which I beleive can jeopardize my wife's current application. Can someone please help me out in this. the Scenario is
My wife is on spouse visa (as Partner of British Citizen) she applied for FLR (M) for another 30 months on 25th August 2017. She had passed her IELTS before arriving in UK in February 2014. We used the same certificate for her 1st extension as she entered as Tier 1 General Dependent. Her 1st Extension was due on February 2015. We have sent the same IELTS certificate with her 2nd Extension. We have not heard anything back from Home office and after reading this thread I am getting worried.
Is her IELTS certificate acceptable as I believe it must have run out in 2016?
Do we have any other option as her application at the moment is with Home office?

I will highly appreciate if someone could help us out in this regard.

Regards,
Raheel

Hi,
I checked the level of A1. Yes It was way over it. my wife Passed IELTS General Category with 7.0 in 2014 and it was valid for 2 years only. Please give me your feedback on what will happen to her application so that I prepare myself for some actions.

I don't know how the banding works but she needs A2 English for an extension.

Is there anyway I can resolve this as the application is already with Home office. It has been with them since 25th August 2017.
