Salaried and non-salaried employment

Post by Jorge Velasquez » Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:47 am

Hi everybody. I hope you can help me with this doubt. I am going to apply for unmarried partner visa to UK. I am checking the financial requirements and i'm not sure what kind of employment condition I should apply (salaried or nonsalaried). I work in a company for more than 6 month. I received a monthly paid that depends of hours I've worked (if i got sick or arrived late they discount the hours). However, my contract has this statement.
Salary
Your salary is 16000,00 per annum. Payment is made at monthly intervals on it by the 21st of each month. Your annual salary will be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments regardless of the number of hours worked during the relevant period.
So I was considering myself a non-salaried employee because if I do not work I don't received the payment. But that statement in the contract make me confused.

I hope you can help me. I really appreciate it.

Who is applying for the unmarried partner visa??

Are you the applicant or the sponsor?

Is the applicant in the UK or outside the UK?

Have you lived with your partner and have evidence to prove for the mandatory 2 years??

The income requirement is £18,600pa, your contract states your annual salary is only £16,000pa, which is too little.

Hi Jorge! So I've been through a successful visa application and wrote my entire experience, listing out exactly what to do and what to look out for here. Hopefully this helps anyone else going through this process as well and will help your situation and your questions.

I break everything down into easy steps, so hopefully if you are applying, this will help!
