Did he have the correct visas to enable travel via Germania to Angliya?

I rather doubt a seemingly young Gambian cit. got the appropriate EU visas but I will stand corrected...

You don't explain much about yourself or your boyfriend, so I don't know how much advice anyone can offer.

How old is he and did he obtain a visa for Germany (and the UK) before leaving? Has he ever been to Europe before?

"catch the train to london" without UK visa?
There is your answer, most likely he is being held by immigration officials!

With respect, is this not a bit stupid, visiting a country without the appropriate visa?

Who know, but they will deport him back to Germany or even back to Gambia.

.

What sort of "Germany visa" did he get? A Schengen visa ..? That would not allow travel to the UK.

Did he have your contact information with him?

If immigration picked him up, I'm a bit surprised they have not contacted you to confirm any story that he might be telling them.

If he got a German visit visa (not a Schengen), he could have been detained at any border crossing (or even between) once he tried to leave Germany.

Have you traced his train route & tried to understand which countries he needed to pass through?

Have you reported him as a missing person?

If he had a visa for Germany (which I think we have to assume is an ordinary Schengen visa, although it might have been a transit visa allowing only a short stay in the Schengen zone) and he was coming to the UK by train, would he be held by UK immigration officials (who check the passports of Eurostar passengers before they board the train — in Brussels, Paris, Lille, or Calais — not after arrival in the UK), or would the UK immigration people simply have refused him the right to board the train, in which case he is probably still in the Schengen area, in the custody of immigration officials in either Belgium or France, or back in Gambia (if his Schengen visa was a short-stay one).

To the OP, lounalie: He almost certainly won't have been admitted to the UK without a visa. Did you hear from him after he arrived in Germany at all? Do you know what his proposed train route was from Germany to the UK? Have you been able to contact any family of his in Gambia?

Looks like no visa then. What an utterly stupid thing to do - what was he thinking?
