GP/private practitioner evidence

Post by Mojojojo00 » Tue Jun 26, 2018 10:59 am

Hi,

I have seen a case where HO refused to accept the official DNA results of a man who claimed that he is the father of a girl who was born here.

In the court, the proof was deemed as authentic and the man won the case.

My question is, in the current hostile environment, what is the most acceptable way to present medical evidence? If it is not via a GP referral, is it likely to get ignored or rejected?

What was the application being made? Where was the DNA test carried out (within or outside the UK)? Was it carried out by a DNA lab recognised by the Home Office?

A friends who works for the CAB told me about this case without mentioning any names. He is a volunteer there. I believe the DNA test was done here in the UK because everything happened here not abroad.
