Tier 2 General Genuine Vacancy for existing employees

Hi,

I am currently on Tier 2 ICT dependent Visa due to expire soon. I am employed with an organisation which is eligible to sponsor in UK and asked if they can sponsor me for Tier 2 General. As I am already employed with them how does the Genuine vacancy point will be treated. Please suggest.

They will need to complete the full and proper RLMT process for the full 28 days before they can offer you the job, to prove you have not been pre-selected. They also cannot make the RLMT ad so specific and tailored to you that it excludes all others.

can they use the job posting from Oct 2017? I got this job via job portal.

If not do I need to resign and go through the process again?

RLMT cannot be older than 6 months, so no, they cannot use the October one and will have to do a whole new one.

No you do not have to resign, your sponsor just has to prove you are not 'pre-selected' and you will have to follow the same process as all other applicants for the job.
