Spouse visa

Post by Amanda0408 » Sun Jun 03, 2018 8:49 pm

Hi
Im seeking initial advice,please.
Im a british national married to an Albanian, for ten months. Our relationship is over two years.
My husband is in Albania,as his work contract expires in September 2018 (military)this is why we waited to apply.I have been travelling over every 6/8 weeks to be with him.
I have a full time job and meet the financial requirement of £18 600 and all the other requirements...housing etc.
My query is do I apply here in the UK for his spouse visa or does he do it there?even though theres no Embassy only an agency.
Many thanks in advance.

He has to apply at the nearest visa facilitation service centre to where he is.

A copy of your passport not the original. Depending on the centre requirements, some locations scan all the supporting documents, others don't.

You might be required to submit supporting documentation to Sheffield but he has to apply from abroad, you can't apply for him within the UK.

Morning and thanks
So there is no need for me to get an immigration lawyer here and pay the exhorbitant fee, just to be told my husband has to apply, not me.

No, a solicitor is not required if it is not a complicated case and if you meet all the requirements.

Hiya

your husband can apply from the TLS visa application centre in Tirana, is not far from the pyramid building.

You used to be able to apply from embassy but not anymore. Once your application has been submitted online you will be given the opportunity to make appt at the TLS center where they will scan documents and his passport. You only need to give them a copy of your passport. hope this helps!

Hi

Questions are likely to be related to your relationship regarding personal details a spouse would be expected to know. For example,
when and where you met, your birthday, your wedding anniversary, where you live, what family do you have, what work do you do and where....etc.

The interview may well be held in Albanian.

Hi again
My husband and I are unable to downnload our chat history before 2017, have looked this up and it says supporting letters for spouse visa from family and friends can do.We do have proof of our relationship however, just cant retrieve the earlier chats.
If so where do i find the template to give them, and does it matter if the letters are all identical?
Very stressful process..likened to a visit to the Dentist!
Kind regards
Amanda

He is not applying for one of the Tier visas.

He must apply for a spouse settlement visa - form VAF4A and Appendix 2.

You select : Settlement >> Settlement >> Husband in the online options.
