BRP Card Multiple Entry

Hello All

Just a query regarding travelling outside UK after receiving BRP card.

I have received my BRP card a month back and category mentioned in BRP card is ‘Tier 2 General Leave to Enter’

Its valid till 2021. I am planning to travel outside UK for a week. Hence I am assuming I can leave UK and come back again with this BRP card.

Can someone confirm this please. Thanks

I remember that I have read somewhere, maybe on the police registration itself, that you should have it with you whenever you travel abroad because you can be asked to show it by the border agent.

A person is free to travel. Also as far as I am aware, an Indian national on a tier 2 does not have to register with police in the UK.

Yes, but he may be denied entry if he had to register with the police and can't present the certificate when asked to do so.

After you register
The police will give you a registration certificate. Keep it while your visa or permission to stay in the UK lasts so that you can:

prove that you’re registered with the police
tell the police if your details change
return to the UK if you travel
apply to stay for longer in the UK

I clearly said "If you have one" which means if you had to register. (A flag on a profile is not a proof of nationality)

Also, most reputable sponsors mention that you need to take police registration with you while travelling, so can be relevant for others.

It is pointless posting university weblink advice for students when the poster is on Tier 2, which is a completely separate set of rules.

As to nationality, I searched the users previous posts!!
