Urgent Passport return

Post by bentrahern » Fri Nov 23, 2018 8:23 am

Hi all I applied for a new tier 2 visa on the 10th November ; I’m currently in the UK but have a trip planned on the 6th of December to go to Germany . I sent my passport and brp card off in the mail; stupidly choosing the standard service I’ve tried to upgrade to premium with no luck. Should I try and get my brp card and passport back urgently in time for the trip? Or am I screwed

Thanks in advance

My understanding is that if you request your documents back, assuming your previous visa has not expired, and you leave the UK, your application will be treated as withdrawn.

That was my understanding too ; so only travelling in the Uk itself is allowed . How long does it normally take for standard tier 2 visa processiong? Do you guys have any ideas?

Thanks again

So essentially it looks like I will have no hope getting my new brp and passport back by the 6th December ?
Has anyone got theirs back quite promptly ? And does every visa application have a case number? And if so where would I find it?

Cheers again everyone
