Child Being Born in India

Post by gatha_vdm » Thu Nov 22, 2018 5:18 pm

Hi Friends,

I have a query regarding

I hold a Tier 2 General visa and it expires by Dec 2019 and its the same for my wife,

I will be eligible for my ILR in April 2019.

At the moment my wife is pregnant, she is in India, child will born in India. The due date is around mid of Jan 2019.

Can you please advise should I apply dependent visa for my kid after I took my ILR or with Tier 2 itself?

Please suggest me.

Which one will be easy to do and beneficial?

Cheers!
Gatha

Child applies for the same visa the mother has.

Of course if the child is born in the UK, the child does not need a visa and is entitled to register as British as soon as one parent has ILR.

Thanks Cr001.

Is it good to apply before I get my ILR or after I get ILR?

Cheers!

Then you apply for a PBS dependent visa for the child, same as mother.
