Second Job in Tier2

Hi,
I work in UK under tier2 visa (Mechanical Engineer). As of now I lost my job and waiting for curtailment letter to be issued. I am also looking for new job with new Tier2 visa.
Now my question is this;
While waiting for curtailment letter can I still work for different company of same background (Mechanical Engineer) without having new Tier2 visa- until the curtailment date.

No you cannot. You are only permitted to do supplementary/second job of 20 hours per week if you are still working for your main sponsor.

You cannot work at all until you get a new sponsor and visa.
