What happens to Tier-2 BRP once ILR BRP is issued?

Hello,

My wife has applied for ILR via Tier-2 route today and submitted her Biometrics in Glasgow. Her Tier-2 BRP card is not taken by Sopra Steria and she still has it in her possession.
Now my question is that once her ILR application is approved and if she gets her ILR BRP card, what happens to the Old BRP(in this case Tier-2 BRP) card? Does she has to return it back to UKVCAS?

Also, my wife salary was increased to £35,500 in the month of September and it reflected in her payslip(s) since Sept'18 to till date. As I said above, she has applied for her ILR(via Tier-2 route) today i.e. on 27-Nov-2018. I have been told that any applicant who is applying for ILR via Tier-2 route should at least wait 6 months after their salary increase or it will raise a flag with the case worker. Is it true? If so, what is the course of action that we need to take now? Will the case worker hold the application for a period of another 3 more months(3 months already passed; sept, oct, nov) and then ask for more documents and then make a decision?

The Tier 2 BRP will be cancelled. Just file it away as a memory of the journey.

What was her salary before the increase?? What is her SOC as per her CoS? Did her employer update the increase on the SMS?

What is her SOC as per her CoS? 2135-IT Business Analysts, Architects and Systems Designers.

Did her employer update the increase on the SMS? No, her employer said that it is not mandatory to do it as it is a general increase. Her employer has supported it with a Salary increase letter.
