PBS dependent 180 days rule

Hello,

Its a question on whether 180 days absence limit applies to my dependents who are on PBS dependent Visa

visa extension application date : 7th Jan 2018
Visa received date : 7th Feb 2018

Based on the above, Since we applied for extension before the 11th Jan 2018 cut-off date, will the new rule be still apply to them?

Also, the extension applications were done in-country

The new rule is relevant to visas ISSUED after 11th January, so yes, the new rule will apply as the visa was approved and granted after the relevant date.
