Infant visa

Post by Sani95 » Fri Dec 21, 2018 4:50 pm

Dear Sir's,

I recently delivered my baby in Canada and would like to return to U.K , also my extension is due in 5 months time.
My question is, can I bring infant on basis that Canadian passport holder doesn't require visitor visa and switch his visa to dependent with my own extension i.e due in few months time ?
V. Kind Regards

You can't switch to other visa categories if you are in the UK as a visitor.

You should apply for a dependent visa before travelling.

Had the baby been born in the UK, you could have waited till your extension and included the baby as a tier 1 dependent (assuming you hold a tier 1 entrepreneur visa as this is the sub forum you posted in).

Hi CR001
About to finalise the app, got few basic questions
-Do I have to upload supporting docs instead sending in post?
- What would be picture size as it doesn't mention anything on guidance notes
- lastly, as I have completed application for my baby, do i have to sign it too?
Rgds,
H.Sani
