Date of citizenship application and passport application query

Hello Mates,

Just one quick drop of a question please. I’ve been reading naturalization timelines on several threads here.

My only question is:

I have ILR and going to apply for my citizenship next year (ILR+1yr) under tier 2 although I’ve been here 11 years.

How come some people says they applied for citizenship and at the SAME DATE of application they applied for passport.

Is this possible at all? My research shows you cannot apply for passport unless youve got your citizenship.

It WAS possible through the Council using previously NCS and more recently NDRS under the joint citizenship and passport application scheme. Both now longer available.

You cannot apply any longer (since last month) for the passport at the same time now and will have to wait till you have attended your ceremony.

Oic, thank you very much! sad that I missed this service though my 1yr after ILR is January next week and we also cant apply a month before deadline..
