UK Citizen wants to bring husband (married outside of UK) where to start

I have a British Passport (through my father) but I have never actually ever lived there.

My husband and I were married about 2.5 years ago outside of the UK. I don't have a job in the UK or a bank account in the UK as I have never lived in the UK.

Can my job and/or my savings in the USA be used to prove I am able to support him through this process? Also what visa should we apply for when we are already married (but not in the UK) and I have no actual history in the UK?

We both plan on moving and living there but not sure where to start. Can I bring him in on a visitor visa and then apply for a status change (like you can do in America)

Anyone have any idea where I should start? Its especially weird since I am kind of a foreigner to the country too even though I am a citizen holding a British passport

No you cannot. It is not possible to switch from a visitot category visa to a spouse visa with in the UK.

How much are your savings and how long have they been held in an accessible account?
