ILR Calculation Query

Hi,

I have a query that I could not find the answer to on the board. I enetered UK as a Tier 4 student in Sep 27 2011. I made my tier 2 general application from within the country on 11/08/2015, started my job on 07/09/2015, gave my biometrics on 12/09/2015 and the visa issue date on my BRP was 09/10/2015. I could start my job before I got my visa because I had made a valid Tier 2 application before my Tier 4 expired.

My query is simple, do I count my continuous 5 year period from the date I made my application i.e. 11/08/2015, the date I started my job i.e. 07/09/2015 or from the visa issue date on my BRP i.e. 09/10/2015?

Your help will be gratefully appreciated.

It starts counting from date your visa was issued, so the 9th October 2015.
