Citizenship application with expiring passport

Hiya,

My husband and I will be using the NCS to apply for citizenship (after 12 months on ILR). We are eligible as of March 3. His Australian passport expires in April. We were wondering if that would be an issue as it is likely to expire during the processing time. He will be applying for a new one so there's no problem there, but we wondered if it would be recommended to have a full passport with plenty of time left on it prior to applying for citizenship?

One last question: Do we still fill in the online form as per normal here and print out to take to the appointment? Then make the appointment?

The appointment booking is part of the online process after you have selected the service you want to use.

It will also tell you what you need to take to the centre.

Ok, so I can start to put together my application by using the online AN form as I linked above and then make the appointment when I've completed that?

Make sure you only submit and pay once you meet the full 12 months on ILR.

My husband is due on the same day, should we apply together or is there no major benefit of that?

Each applicant must meet the requirements individually.

I understand that. The online form (attached) asks whether you want to add an applicant. What are the benefits of this or should we just do it separately?
