Just signed and dated. If the property is rented, you will require a letter from the landlord giving permission to live there. If the property is mortgaged, a copy of the mortgage agreement or if own outright, a copy of the property deeds.nikiboj wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 5:36 pmHello,
I was wondering about the accommodation letter that needs to be provided as proof that the the sponsor's parents allow you to live at their home, does it need to be notarized or stamped by a notary public? Or can it just be signed and dated by the two parents writing the letter and that should suffice
Thanks in advance!
Notary republics are few and far between in the UK (and VERY expensive compared to the states). Be prepared for a few other differences too!!nikiboj wrote: ↑Tue Jan 15, 2019 5:36 pmHello,

As a spouse visa application is reasonably straightforward, most people don't need a solicitor at all. Sounds like they were trying to get more money from you!!!Exquisit33 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 11:09 amIs this not supposed to be the sponsor letter?
I thought this had to be on letterhead from the solicitors. When I applied for my husband I got it from the solicitors on behalf of my parents saying they are happy for my husband to join us. My parents had to sign this then.
Can you please clarify?

You don't need a housing report from a surveyor. I've seen probably hundreds of applications approved without it.nikiboj wrote: ↑Fri Jan 18, 2019 2:10 pmFrom what I have seen from lots of research, if you and your sponsor are living with his/her parents all you need is a letter of accommodation from the parents stating that you are allowed to live with them and that there is enough room for you all. Of course, this needs to me accompanied by a housing report from a surveyor to prove it.
Am i correct?
i think you should ask from a prominent person or check on google.if you send it to the wrong place it might cause big delays . but normally people submitting it in visa offices like vfs or if your partner or any one here in the uk they can send it to sheffieldnikiboj wrote: ↑Fri Jan 25, 2019 6:07 pmHello,
I am applying from the US for a UK spouse visa with PRIORITY SERVICE. I am a bit confused as to where I send my supporting documents?
Is this the correct address?
VFS Services USA Inc.
UKVI Scanning Hub
80 Broad Street
Floor 6
New York, 10004
I thought I needed to send them to Sheffield.
Thanks in advance
