Post by Zeehasaan » Thu Jan 17, 2019 6:43 pm

Hi
I am on my spouse Tier 2 dependant visa since 2016. I was in and out of the country but from October 2017 im living permanently in uk. My wife will apply for ILR in August 2019. My question is what will be my status after my wife got her ILR. WILL i got ILR too immediately or will i be on Tier 2 spouse dependant visa??

You need 5 years residence on a tier 2 dependent visa before you will qualify for ILR.

If your spouse applies for ILR based on Tier 2 and 5 years residence, you can continue on your existing visa and extend if necessary, until you meet the requirements for ILR.

Thanks for the reply. My spouse is applying for ILR based on Tier 2 and 5 years residency. Me Being on spouse dependant tier 2 visa what will be the process to extend my Tier 2 dependant visa and how much it is going to cost?
