Tier-2 General Visa Extension

Hi All,

I am tier-2 general visa and entered in UK on 24th Nov 2014 (Visa start date: 24th Nov 2014) which was valid till 30th Sept 2017. I had extended my visa for 2 year and current visa expiry date is 1st Oct 2019. Below are my questions.

1. Can I apply for one more year extension in Sept 2019?
2. Can I apply for ILR without doing any extension on Oct 2019 as I am short of 54 days?

Please advise. Many thanks.

You will need an extension before you can apply for ILR. 54 days short is too much as your qualifying period is 24th November minus 28 days.

You can hold a tier 2 general visa for 6 years, so up to 23/24 November 2020.

What date did you apply for your extension in 2017??

My latest visa issue date is 9th November 2017 and is valid till 1st October 2019.
