FLR(M) Online Form Difficult Questions!

Post by ariamus » Sun Feb 03, 2019 12:11 am

My wife arrived in UK in June 2016 on a 33 month spouse visa which expires March 2019. I am applying for my wife’s first extension FLR(M) and not sure how the following questions should be answered?
Does anyone have any tips for the type of answer I should provide?

Q1) If you were required to leave the UK, what country would you go to? My answer is Pakistan
Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country?

Q2) Could you and your partner live together outside the UK if necessary?

Q3) Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?

Q4) What is the start date of your current visa or leave to remain?
Which of the following dates do I enter for the above question?
# 30 day entry visa in passport - Valid from 13/06/16
# Biometric Residence permit - Place and date of issue 30/05/16

Q5) Would any of your other family members be affected if your application was refused?

Are there any factors which would make it difficult or impossible for you to integrate and establish a private life in that country?
It might be yes for those who has some serious crisis in their country which make it difficult for them to live there OR
Just simply write that you have establsihed family/private life in UK for the last 2 and half years and would be diffiuclt to abandon your husband to live alone in Pakistan

Q2) Could you and your partner live together outside the UK if necessary?
just simple No OR No(my husband is settled in United kingdom and we have intention to live here permanently

Q3) Have you previously lived in a country outside the UK including your country of birth?

yes lived in Pakistan

Q4) What is the start date of your current visa or leave to remain?

I would write 30/05/16..I have seen that your vignette start date is much later than Biometric start date while it was opposite in case of my partner whose vignette start date was much earlier than biometric start date because collected biometric in UK after entry

Q5) Would any of your other family members be affected if your application was refused?
If you have children then mention that this refusal would affect them

Thanks for your reply - would anyone else also give their thoughts or what they added to their application?

I was recently granted an extension and this is what I put down :D

Q1. Taiwan (no problem at all, I was born and raised there)
Q2. Yes (despite my husband can only speak English, but if I were ever rejected, he's willing to move back with me)
Q3. Taiwan and America (I've also stated somewhere else in the forms where they've asked about this and I put down 5 yrs in America during my childhood)
Q4. Place and date of issue on the BRP
Q5. No, cause we don't have any kids

Re: FLR(M) Providing Your Documents

Post by ariamus » Sun Feb 10, 2019 8:32 pm

I am completing the online form FLR(M) for my wife's first spouse visa extension after the initial 2.5 year period.

I need to provide evidence of my immigration status in the UK - for this I will provide a full copy of my British passport.

On the checklist of documents we need to submit it states:

Providing your documents

You will be able to provide your documents after you submit your application, these can be originals or copies. Any passports provided must be originals. How you provide your documents will depend on whether you choose to use our new service or the existing one. You will be able to choose which service you want before submitting your application.

Is this referring to my wife's passport only or mine also? We will be submitting her first and current Pakistan passport.

Applicant - original passport if you are NOT using the new UKCVAS service.

British spouse - copy of the passport is sufficient if you are not using the new UKCVAS service.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
