5 years residence, which must INCLUDE one year on settled status. As the OPs friend has only been in the UK for 1 year, he won't qualify for citizenship in one years time.Amirkhan042 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 7:45 pmwell he has now settled status and when he will apply after one year for citizenship they wont ask about this?kamoe wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 8:20 amThis won´t work.

If it's in the list of things you need to prove, then it means you need to prove it and they are going to check it.Amirkhan042 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 19, 2019 7:45 pmwell he has now settled status and when he will apply after one year for citizenship they wont ask about this?kamoe wrote: ↑Wed Feb 13, 2019 8:20 amThis won´t work.

I strongly encourage you to read the whole page of the link I shared above. It says that Settled Status is one of the requirements, and it also lists the additional requirements you need to meet, for instance, proving you were in the UK 5 years before the application. There are also other requirements, like proving your knowledge of the English language and passing the Life in the UK test.as in point of view the requirements is only one year after settle status thats it? please correct me
