UK spouse visa - Online application form

Hi,
I am applying for my wife’s spouse visa and getting mixed information where to send documents.

As per this link from UK government website, I need to send all documents directly to Sheffield and my wife will only go with her passport when visiting visa office in Pakistan.

However, as per following link from Gerry’s, my wife needs to take all documents to the visa office when attending appointment in Pakistan.

Please could someone advise which website is showing correct information and does my wife need to send documents to Sheffield or take with her.

Also, will she also take or post original Nikkah papers? If so, these aren’t in A4 and I read that all documents we’ll send should be in A4.

If my wife will send documents from Pakistan to Sheffield - how can she include a return prepaid envelop for home office to return these documents to me in uk.
PS above UK government website (first link) is asking to provide an envelop and that all documents will be returned to me (sponsor) in UK.

Hi,
When completing UK spouse visa application. My wife's name was changed after marriage so when answering 'if you had another name', we should choose 'yes' and then write her maiden name (name at birth). My questions are:
1. What should we write for 'reason of name change'.
Reason for name change when writing her maiden name could be 'maiden name' or 'name at birth' because this is when she got this name - or - should we write 'marriage'?

2. What should we select for 'date of the name change'?
Should this be the date of wedding or when National ID card with name name was issues or when passport with new name was issues.

Furthermore, for type/name of visa - are 'spouse visa' and 'Apply to enter the UK as a partner' same?

Hi,
I am completing online application form for UK spouse visa and appreciate if someone could please help with below questions.

1. Name change: Changed from maiden name (surname by birth) to married name. What should be the ‘reason for change’ – should it be Maiden or Marriage? and what should we chose for ‘date of the change’ – should this be the date of marriage or when the NI card was issued or when the passport was issued?

2. Issuing Authority of Passport: Ok to wrote ‘Govt. of Pakistan’?

3. Applicant’s employment details. Should I select ‘unemployed’ or ‘dependent of sponsor’. If I would choose ‘dependent of sponsor’, will they ask for any evidence?

4. How long do you intend to stay in the UK: We wrote ‘Permanently’. Is this correct?

5. When completing online form. What is the ‘Register at commercial partner’ on front page?

6. No salary or bank balance of sponsor in the online application form. Did we miss something?

7. I need to complete VAF4 form but the online application isn’t showing any number/reference. How can I ensure I am using the correct form?

8. When starting the form. Should I choose > settlement > settlement > wife (since my wife is applying to move to UK).
