Non EEA applying settlement for the mother

Post by beafreeman » Sun Feb 24, 2019 5:54 pm

Hi,

I’m in the process of getting my PR status in UK. Only until recently I didn’t know as an extend family memeber of EEA national, the person can also apply for EEA family permit and PR if the person lives in the country for a continuous five years.

I was wondering, would it be possible for me to apply for a settlement for my mother as well. Currently, my mother is on a waiver program with the passport she owns - she can stay with me up for 6 months. But she is getting older and I’m looking at options, preparing for the future. FYI, she has no other children so she is pretty much depending on me.

Thank you

To give you a relevant answer, it would be useful to know:

What is your nationality? Your age?
Can you share your UK immigration timeline, i.e. when did your first arrive in the UK, and under which status/visa, and any other statuses/visas you have had, if applicable?
What is your current status in the UK?
What is your mother's nationality? Her age?
Can you share your mother's full UK immigration timeline, when did she first arrive, and exactly under which waiver program/visa?
Before coming to the UK, where did she live?
My posts express what I believe are the facts, based on the best of my knowledge, about the topics discussed in this forum. They do not constitute immigration advice.
