When to apply for spouse visa extension?

On this guys....
My wife has too extend too. BRP expires Oct 19. Landed in the UK Feb 17 so 30 months less 28 days means applying at the start of August 19.
Only issue is we are planning a trip to Norway in September 19 under Schengen visa but they want to see 90 days vailidity on her BRP which we wont have, so I can't apply for a Norway Schengen until her new BRP arrives which would likely be September so we are stuffed going to Norway. Correct? Think we will have to go somewhere that is non visa friendly like Cuba and dodge the Hurricanies!

Mostly most of us has to sacrifice something to get another thing. Why not replan the same trip after the extension or before 90 days of expiry.

Yep, poor planning on my part so will ditch Norway and head off to a Visa waiver country instead. I did ask Norway today and they advised that Schengen might not apply going forwards to UK national with a non EU spouse. I'm not doing a full tourist Visa for 3 stops on a ship in Norway!
