URGENT | Tier-2 General - Sponsorship Revoked

Hi All,

******URGENT HELP REQUIRED******

I am currently in UK on Tier 2 - General Visa which was granted in May 2018 and valid until May 2020. The sponsor for which I was working had revoked its sponsorship on 15th January 2019. Since then I am looking for a new sponsor here in UK and I am expecting something positive from a new sponsor by March 2019 end.

I haven't received any curtailment letter from the Home Office yet. Would it be possible if someone can advise on below queries:

1) Since, my sponsorship was revoked on 15th January 2019. Do I need to find a new sponsor and submit a new Visa Application by 15th March 2019 (Because of 60 days period) ?

2) If I didn't submit a new Visa Application with a new Sponsor by 15th March 2019, Do I have to leave the country by 15th March 2019 without waiting for the curtailment letter?

3) Is it wise to wait until I receive a curtailment letter and keep looking for a new sponsor?

Any urgent help on this will be highly appreciated.

Your curtailment period starts when HO sends the curtailment letter, not from the date you left your employment.

Wait for curtailment letter.

3) Is it wise to wait until I receive a curtailment letter and keep looking for a new sponsor?

Just keep looking for a new sponsor. Note that you can't work now either in any capacity.

Licence of the sponsor was not revoked, but my employment ended on 15th Jan 2019 because sponsor has withdrawn its sponsorship through SMS. I have few more queries:

1) I was going through one of the recent posts here: uk-tier-2-employer-sponsored-visas/tier ... 75192.html
And the case of this person is similar to my case. His visa was refused as he was also waiting for the curtailment letter but curtailment letter never came from Home Office.

What is the process if curtailment letter does not arrive? Do I need to inform somewhere about my situation so that I can get the curtailment letter?

So your employment was terminated. Using the word revoked on the forum, usually only applies to sponsor license revocation.

Would it be possible if you have some information on the query in my last post?

Also, my wife is on a Tier-2 Dependent visa here. Since, my employment is over on 15th Jan 2019, does that mean that my wife also can't work in UK because I am also not working?

Your wife can continue working.

If HO have your correct email address and home address, they will likely write to you.

Suggest try to find a new sponsor asap to apply for a tier 2 general. Do not travel out of the UK.

Did your previous employer have your correct address?

You would have been required to update HO on the prescribed form.

No, My First Address is my Current Address

Yes, I provided my current Address to my employer after arriving UK.

Yes, I have seen that form on gov.uk website and the form has one mandatory field 'Old Postcode' but I don't know what to enter in this field because I don't have any old postcode.

No not really. Unless you do a subject access request but this also can take a few weeks.

Hi CR001,

Would it be possible if you can provide the latest Curtailment Team Address. I sent one letter at below address but got the response as "Sorry, we were unable to deliver this item as the recipient is no longer at that address"
