Certificate of No Impediment

Hi guys,

I am a south african citizen living in the UK, and my fiance is a US citizen currently living in the US. We are looking at registering and getting married in the UK later this year and were wondering if we would need letters of no impediment as part of the notice application in the UK?

So far no information on the gov.uk site has made it seem like a necessary document however we are a little worried after finding some facebook threads about it.

Any information would be great.

To marrying in UK it doesn't be needed rather the correct type of visa must be in possession. Read below how to marry:
