Bringing my 12 year old daughter to UK

Post by kdlc » Fri Mar 22, 2019 10:39 am

I am a single mother and planning to get my daughter from the Philippines. She is 12 years old. I am currently under Tier 2 general sponsorship visa.

Me and her father are not in good terms now. I am currently supporting my child and she is living with my sisters because her father is now married.

My question is, what do I need to do for me to bring her here as my dependent? I already gathered information regarding proof of funds in which my hospital will be the one to sponsor as they also give support to dependents but my problem is the child’s surname is her father’s and the father is also in her birth certificate.

Do I need to accomplish other special requirements apart from the standard documents for dependent visas?

What are the official custody arrangements for the child?

You need to prove sole responsibility.

If you need the fathers permission for a visa, then you don't have sole responsibility.
