Experience with Keep my Passport

Just wondering the experience from anyone who has used the Keep my Passport (KPM) option.

- Once a decision has been made and hand in to your passport how long on average have people waited in order to get their passport back?

- Also, I am curious what the 30 vignette date was. Would it start from when the email was received stating a decision has been made or does it begin once they receive your passport? Just thinking if it takes a week or so to get the passport back that really eats into those 30 days.

There should be mix experiences. But most importantly you will have to travel within 30 days.
