Tier 2 to ILR - Calculating Continuous Leave

Post by murtaza3 » Fri Mar 29, 2019 9:58 am

Hi,

I am currently on a Tier 2 visa, looking to apply for ILR. My job requires me to travel to Europe regularly. I am trying to calculate whether I have exceeded the 180 day rule and need some help.

If I fly out to Germany on Monday morning and return back on Friday evening, does that count as 5 days out of the country or 3 days out of the country?

Also, about the 180 day limit, is it applicable to a rolling 12 month period in my 5 years on the Tier 2 visa or is it applicable to each of the 5 years individually.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Sarmad

Kindly do NOT post ILR questions in this sub forum which is ONLY for Tier 2 visa queries and not for ILR. Continue in your duplicate topic you posted earlier today that was moved to the ILR sub forum and where you have received a response already!!!!
