Icloud84 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 10:50 pmI used to work full time in last few years but currently due to some circumstances I am working only 14/15 hours per week on the same employer and looking for new job as well. So I guess I am eligible for job seeker allowance at the moment.
Anyhow, will it effect my naturalisation application in the future or anything ?it would be helpful if anybody Please kindly let me know .
Thanks in advance.
If you are renting, you might be able to claim some benefit money to help with your rent - but that will depend on whether you can have Public Funds/whether you are classed as worker EEA citizen, and it won't be much money. If you can claim from the UK, it would be a claim for Universal Credit and you can use a Universal Credit benefit calculator to see if you would be given anything.
Ok .. thanks.
As you have ILR, you might be able to claim PIP, in addition to Universal Credit.
Are you saying you are on Working Tax Credit benefits? If so, your hours appear to be too low for that benefit- have you told WTC you have these reduced hours, to avoid an overpayment?
You don't get the choice because the Tax Credit benefit has ended. If you aren't already claiming one of these income based legacy benefits, then you caim UC. All will be moved onto UC from this year and some will move themselves.
Being in a wheelchair does not mean that you can't work full time and therefore get the choice of rental properties as you will be paying your own rent, or buy a house.
Is it possible to rent a house and then later seek housing allowance so that it could pay a part of the rent!!?JB007 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 03, 2019 4:02 pmYou don't get the choice because the Tax Credit benefit has ended. The UK has made massive changes to the welfare system.
As you can see, you don't get the option of what to choose.
Because as I explained in first and second post in your thread, there is nothing for you with Universal Credit.Icloud84 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2019 1:13 pmThank you for the details
In universal credit calculator when I put my details like I’m working less than 16 hours and currently living with relatives and never received any kind of benifit as well as I have disability then surprisingly result comes up as a “0” !!!!
I wonder why is that ?
PIP is an in-work benefit for people of working age. If PIP is awarded after your medical, it is extra money to help towards what your disabitly costs. You will be required to have these medicals often to continue that benefit.
