ILR Eligibility for Tier 2 ICT Visa

Hi,

One of my friend told me that, Tier 2 ICT VISA holders are now eligible to apply ILR after 5 years, is this true. Can someone please confirm if you have any info about this.

I can see some details in the below link, but it is confusing.

What is the different between these two

To qualify, you must have had at least one of these visas in the 5 years:

1. Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) issued under the Immigration Rules in place before 6 April 2010

2. Work Permit for an intra-company transfer

No it is not true. There has been no change in the rules.

Only ICT visas issued on or before 5th April 2010 can apply for ILR based on 5 years residence.

1. Is what I state above, the ICT visa must have been issued before that date in 2010.

2. Is the old style work permits, which changed in 2008 to the points based system visas.
