Family Visa for Spouse and ILR

Hello,

My wife came to the UK on Aug-2012 on a PBS dependent visa (my visa was T2ICT - Jan-2011 start date). Now I am switching to T2G visa for next 3 years. I will eligible for ILR (10 years long stay route) on May-2022. But my wife will be eligible for ILR on Aug-2022.

So, there is a gap of 4 months (May-2022 to Aug-2022) between the T2G Dependent visa and the ILR for my wife.

Do I need to apply for Family Visa for my wife once I become ILR to cover 4 months gap? And then again apply for ILR on Aug-2022? Is there any other better way?

Language requirement for Family Visa Partner is IELTS Life Skills- A1 and for ILR (settle in the UK) is IELTS Life Skills - B1.

Can she do only IELTS Life Skills - B1 course which will cover Family Visa as well as ILR? Otherwise, she will have to appear twice on both the IELTS exam?

She will need to apply for FLR(M) once you get ILR based on long residence. There is no other option.

She can do IELTS SELT B1.

You must meet the financial requirements for FLR(M).

Either, as long as it is one of the two on the list.

I would go for IELTS for UKVI if I was doing the test.
