Settlement to join parents

Post by Kris kirk » Tue Apr 09, 2019 10:09 pm

Hi guys looking for some advice,
My stepson who is thai and 13 years old has a settlement to join parents Visa with indefinite leave to enter the UK.
Which expired on the 01/11/2017, when the passport it was in expired, he has a new passport and entered the UK on 19/02/2015,
Can we still use this Visa to visit family in Thailand or do we need to change it for another type of Visa. looked at many options on the home office uk visa site but find it very confusing. Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards kris

He likely needs to apply for a brp card now as visa vignettes are no longer used for long term status.

He should not travel as if it has an expiry date in line with the old passport, he likely will be refused boarding a plane to return to the UK.
