Documents required from applicant - Urgent advice needed

Post by Listener910 » Fri Apr 19, 2019 10:40 am

Hello,
Please help me as I need this advise.
A UK employer is willing to process Tier 2 visa for me. Although I am in UK however, i need to travel to India to get this stamped.
The employer is taking to one of the solicitor to get this arranged and that is in process. Can someone advise the list of documents I need from my side
1. Uk NARIC degree comparative report? Can someone guide me in the process of it.
2. Any other document required from my side?
3. Solicitor is saying that he has submitted the document to HMRC in April. Is he referring to COS?
4. I need a restricted one. How long this process takes ?
Please help
Thanks

What is your current visa category?
The employer is taking to one of the solicitor to get this arranged and that is in process.
You need to apply from India. The visa can't be applied and submitted within the UK.
1. Uk NARIC degree comparative report? Can someone guide me in the process of it.
You need BOTH the comparable AND English assessment. Costs about £150. https://www.naric.org.uk/visas%20and%20nationality/
2. Any other document required from my side?
https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/docum ... st-provide
3. Solicitor is saying that he has submitted the document to HMRC in April. Is he referring to COS?
HMRC is the Tax Office. Home Office does the CoS and visa processes. Yes, he would be referring to the application to HO for a Restricted CoS. The meeting already took place on 11th April, so not sure when they submitted their CoS request. If it was too late, it will go into the May allocation meeting. Note that you need the RCoS before you can apply for the visa.
4. I need a restricted one. How long this process takes ?
Depends if the sponsor meets the requirements etc. What is the SOC or job code you have been offered?? Has the sponsor completed the full and proper RLMT process etc?

Solicitor is looking after the process.

I will check with them and update

Yes, they have done the RLMT process. My code is 2139 and offered salary 31,500.
I am confused about Licensing. The company offering me the job is not listed in the https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... rs-workers and when i checked with them they said they are in process of doing so. Does a company needs to be regisetred and updated in this link before they can apply for restricted COS.

Thanks,

Yes, a company can only get a RCoS and sponsor you for a tier 2 general visa if they hold a valid and current sponsorship licence.

Just to be clear, you will be working directly for the employer on PAYE payroll and not contracing or being charged a percentage of your salary as a fee or charged for a CoS??

Thanks for responding.
It’s permanent role directly with employer and I have not paid anything yet and I believe I do not need to pay anything as employer will bear all costs.
HR did mentioned that they are going to apply for tier 2 license as well as I will be their first case.
The email which I got now is that they have submitted the document to home
Office ( not to HMRC) and waiting for an respond now and have asked me to do NARIC evaluation.
Please comment on this.
Also, do you think my role and salary is sufficient to get a RCoS.
Thanks

Your choice if you want to do the NARIC now or wait.

Some members have reported getting RCoS approval for April. All you can do is wait.

I cannot comment on your salary and SOC, that is entirely up to HO and if the sponsor and RLMT meet the requirements.
