Tier 2 General shortage occupation - Dependent Visa

Hi ,

My wife is currently working in Uk as a staff nurse with Tier 2 General shortage occupation Visa valid for 3 year. I am about to process the visa by myself as her dependent. While going through the document issued by UK gov they ask us to apply in https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/home/welcome if we are applying from outside UK. While i logged in this site and try to choose type of visa sub category, found out it is not loading. There is a new link https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/apply-uk-visa mentioned where we can apply other categories but this particular link is listed under application processing visa from UK in the gov document.

Is it OK to apply from this new site for my dependent visa?

If my wife is on a tier 2 shortage occupation visa , do my visa type falls under category 'PBS Dependant - Partner Visa' or anything else ?

You must apply using the first link you posted.

The new link clearly states it is ONLY for certain visa categories at this stage, none of them applicable to you.

We are currently updating our online visa application service. You may be able to apply using our new service for visit visa applications if you are applying for a:

- Standard Visitor Visa
- Marriage Visitor Visa
- 1 month Permitted Paid Engagements visa

Thank you for the reply but while looking at the first Link i don't see the visa type PBS dependent in any category . Unfortunately 'Visa Sub Type' drop down list stays empty in most of the related options. Could you help.

'PBS Dependent - Partner Visa' is only found in new websites and when i connected with a person who applied for visa 3 months back he stated that he applied it via old site and visa type was 'general shortage occupation partner,up to 3 years' which i didn't find either in new or old website. Visa Sub Type is empty for most cases in the 'https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk' website
