Urgent! Tier 2 to ILR application questions

Post by Sepang » Thu Apr 25, 2019 5:05 pm

Hi guys,

I have a few questions just prior to my application, I'd appreciate all your help.

1. My employer has submitted a change to my salary and position along with a new work address a few months ago on the SMS, but it’s still not been processed in the system, the status just say ‘In progress’. And now I’m going to apply for my ILR soon, would this affect my application at all? Is there any suggestions as to what I can do? We’ve tried to contact them but no luck in speeding this up.

2. My first Tier 2 visa was from 22nd May 2014 - 22nd July 2014. Second Tier 2 visa (extension) was from 22 August 2014 - 22 July 2019. Am I qualified to apply for ILR today?

3. I was last paid on the 28th March and this is showing on the bank statement, does it mean it’s better to apply before 28th April? as the pay can’t be older than a month? If I apply after the 28th I’d need to wait for my new pay to come in which will be the 30th April, and bank statement will need 5 workings days to come in too after that. Can I apply before the 28th and submit another bank statement when I attend the appointment?

4. Document check
Current Tier 2 visa valid till 22 July 2019
Passport
Employe letter - confirm salary, will be paid for foreseeable future, will be employed for the foreseeable future. - Does this need to be signed by a senior manager at work or HR manager is fine?
Absence letter
Life in the UK pass certificate
UK master degree
Bank statement - 2 months
Pay slip - 2 months
P60 for last year - just received this so thought I might as well submit it

Is there anything else I’m missing guys?

MANY THANKS!

Was it annual hike for all employees and any changes in SOC (responsibility) ? If it's for all and no SOC change, then I don't think you need to worry but will wait for expert advice.

Yes in fact yesterday.. Try this to find your eligible date - https://www.timeanddate.com/date/datead ... ad=28&rec=

You can apply latest 28 days before your 5 years anniversary and before your visa expire. You can get the online copy of your bank statement and submit it.
P60 for last year - just received this so thought I might as well submit it
not required.

Where do I get this consent form or is it on the online application system at the end to download this form to sign and upload again?

For the bank statement though... here's what's in the immigration rule 245HH

(iv) be either:
(1) printed on the bank’s or building society’s letterhead,
(2) electronic bank or building society statements, accompanied by a supporting letter from the bank or building society, on company headed paper, confirming the statement provided is authentic, or
(3) electronic bank or building society statements, bearing the official stamp of the bank or building society on every page, and

So it needs to be printed on bank's letterhead which i can't do from my own printer.. my bank wouldn't stamp statements either..

Is there any other ways?

Thanks

Yes, You will get an option to download this form after submitting your application.
Later, you need to sign and upload the scanned copy.

If you applying through the new system, except Passport you can submit the copies or originals. You can wait for experts to comment on this.

Please can anyone answer for me in the Employer letter with the absence information, do they only need to list the dates where I went 'OUTSIDE THE UK'? Or do they need to list all the dates I took as holiday since starting?

Many thanks

Thank you for your answer!

Please can anyone also let me know

1. Do I only need to submit the bank statements which contains the salary amount? I have a few other bank accounts, current accounts, saving accounts. Just wondering if they need to see any transactions from my saving and daily expenses too?

2. Does anyone have experience printing the transaction history from the bank branch and ask for a cover letter? Does it count as 'Bank statement'?

3. After I submit the application online and paid, how long do I have to upload all documents? Can I keep uploading within a few days before my appointment? Can I still submit extra documents at the appointment?

Many thanks

1. HO is only interested in seeing your bank statement and corresponding payslip to evidence you meet the salary requirement. They are not interested in your savings or expenditure

2. You simply need a bank statement on official bank letterhead.

Only outside UK.
Use these templates as reference and ask your HR to print on their letter head and sign it. indefinite-leave-to-remain/employer-let ... 67381.html
1. Do I only need to submit the bank statements which contains the salary amount? I have a few other bank accounts, current accounts, saving accounts. Just wondering if they need to see any transactions from my saving and daily expenses too?
Yes the bank statements where your salary is reflecting. Case Worker wants to verify the amount you paid is reflecting in your bank statements or not.
2. Does anyone have experience printing the transaction history from the bank branch and ask for a cover letter? Does it count as 'Bank statement'?
why you need cover letter from bank ? Some staffs in bank are really friendly - you can print your transaction history online (3 months or 6 months) and ask them to stamp with their seal.
3. After I submit the application online and paid, how long do I have to upload all documents? Can I keep uploading within a few days before my appointment? Can I still submit extra documents at the appointment?
Yes, you get time to upload documents until your appointment

Hi Thank you both for your help!

I thought I'd need a letter from the bank only because the bank statement I can get the quickest way is to go into the branch and ask for it to be printed there, so I wasn't sure if that counts as electronic bank statement...

and in immigration rules
245HH Specified documents
(b)
(iv) be either:
(1) printed on the bank’s or building society’s letterhead,
(2) electronic bank or building society statements, accompanied by a supporting letter from the bank or building society, on company headed paper, confirming the statement provided is authentic, or
(3) electronic bank or building society statements, bearing the official stamp of the bank or building society on every page, and

why you need cover letter from bank ? Some staffs in bank are really friendly - you can print your transaction history online (3 months or 6 months) and ask them to stamp with their seal.

Am I right in thinking I'd need a letter?
3. After I submit the application online and paid, how long do I have to upload all documents? Can I keep uploading within a few days before my appointment? Can I still submit extra documents at the appointment?
Yes, you get time to upload documents until your appointment
[/quote]

Thank you, still a bit unsure about finish the application online without all the documents ready (waiting to be paid on the 30th - tomorrow) Can anyone else confirm I can just finish the online part and pay and book appointment and then wait a couple of days to upload all docs?

Many thanks as always!

hi all

Just submitting my SET(O) form now. In the document check list - Questions below:

Evidence of xxx immigration status in the UK - Is this referring to Biometric resident permit?

There's another box for "Current Biometric Residence Permit" ?

All previous passports, travel documents or national identity cards that you have used to travel to or remain in the UK - These I haven't used anything else, do I still tick yes?

Thank you so much for your help! Nearly there!

Has anyone every had problem with Police registration form?

I assume police registration is a part of the process when you applied for T2G visa ?
Was there any problem when you did the registration ?
Any question asked in the Set(0) is relevant to this ?

If it's part of the process and no issue while registered and no relevant query, then I don't think there will be any problem.
I am not aware of police registration as it was not applicable for me when I applied for T2G from my home country. It's my personal opinion. Expert can advise more on this.

It was requested as a condition for all my previous visas, it only applies to certain nationality, there was never any issue apart from the 5 months late report...

Hi guys,

I just want to share the great news with you, that I have been granted ILR after 2 hours attended to the appointment using Super priority service!

Thank you all for your help all this time, I really appreciate everything you do here to help each other. I can't thank you enough. You make the process easier for us and it's just the pure humanity that's shown through this website makes me very grateful!

There's my document list in this thread, and if you want to ask about anything else please reply to this post and I will let you know whatever I know!

Also there was a little bit of a hiccup when I attended the appointment today. My appointment was at the local library, the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. Although when I turned up this morning 30mins before my appointment, I was told all appointment were actually cancelled for the day, this is due to problem on the UKVCAS system, it kept crashing yesterday (Wednesday) so they had to cancel all appoitments for today, but I wasn't notified and I had to book time off work and turned up. They understood my frustration so they said they'd give it a go and see if the system's back up this morning. And luckily it did!!! I was so lucky to have the helpful and friendly staff there.

So at the end everything we submitted and I got an email to confirm the result within 2 hours time.

Thank all again!

Good luck to everyone else who's going through the same process.
