Spouse visa: non-salaried to salaried employment

Post by tianafleur » Thu May 09, 2019 2:38 pm

Hi everyone,

I would be grateful for your advice on financial requirements.
My partner and I are waiting for his 6 month payslips to apply for the spousal visa.
My partner is on a zero-hour contract and we were hoping to apply through Category A: non-salaried employment. My partner's company have said that there's a possibility to move to a full-time position, which would shift our application to salaried employment.
Is it possible to combine payslips of non-salaried and salaried employment? So far we have 3 payslips, and, if successful, my partner could get a full-time position which would make his last 2 payslips salaries, rather than hourly pay.

We were unable to find any information on this, and would appreciate your help.

Thank you!

In that situation you will have to be extremely careful because in case of fixed wages (salaried person) HO will only consider the lowest wages figure during the last 6 months. And if that figure below to £1550 in any month then maybe you fail to meet financial requirement.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thanks for your advice! We'll have to look into that and maybe avoid the salaried category..
