Tier 1 Ent Application Documents plus document categories

Dear all,

I thought to share the documents plus the documents categories so other members may benefit from this post.

Note: Moderators pls lock this post if you wish.

The following documents are for main Tier 1 Ent applicants only. Dependents would have to add additional documents.

Documents:
1) SET(O) online form
2) Consent form
3) CAR (not older than 3 months)
4) (CT41G or CT603) AND CT600 (latest is the best if possible)
5) 1 month business bank statement or bank letter (latest best)
6) RTI- FPS
7) Employee Wage Slips
7a) Employee Passport copies
8 Accountant letter (only if joined or taken over an existing business)
9) Life in UK
10) UK degree or English Requirement
11) All passports and BRP
12) Evidence of Reasons for absences from UK (not needed for Tier 1) but I added an A4 sheet and mentioned that its not needed to tick the box.

From 29th March 2019 two additional things are needed:
1) Director job/role description
2) Employee job role description

Note: Read the current guidance before you submit for any updated documents needed. Always best to send minimum documents as per guidance.

I did send a few additional documents (not required though)
1) Accountant letter
2) Employee weekly hourly breakdown (it was needed in my odd scenerio)
3) PAYE letter
4) 3 months personal bank statements
5) Cover letter

There are no specific documents for genuine entrepreneur test. No need to send any documents but HO can ask for any documents if needed.

However, I sent a couple documents regarding my business registration nature but I did not send any accounts/invoices and would advise not to send any accounts/invoices/advertisement material either.

1) VAT registration certificate
2) Motor Trade Certificate
3) DVLA trade plates certificate
4) Employer’s Liability Certificate.


CATEGORIES: Categories are not important as long as you upload all documents in any category to best of your understanding. Each file should not be more than 6MB. Best is to organise them in PDF files and keep the files to a minimum. For example keep all passport pages in 1 pdf file or keep all employee wage slips in one pdf file so its easier for the case worker.

1) Proof of application: Current Passport (full pages including blank) and consent form.
2) Residence: BRP and all old passports (all pages including blank).
3) Finances: Personal bank statements (if any).
4) Education: LIUK and UK Degree.
5) Other: Cover letter
6) Business: I uploaded all the rest documents (as stated above) in business category.

You have to apply online now. There is only standard service for Tier 1 Ent main applicant.

Once you apply online and pay, you have to book an appointment via UKVCAS to provide your biometrics. You will also be able to upload your documents then.

Note: The date of online submission and payment date is the date of application.

Once you apply you will receive a payment confirmation email followed by a HO Case ID email in the following days. Not everyone gets the Case ID email as there is some system error so dont worry if you dont receive one.

Also, many receive the monthly automated emails. Some like me dont receive them at all due to some system error. Again, dont worry if you dont receive monthly emails.

I would like to advise that make sure your social media presence is good and active. In this age it matters a lot and the CW definitely looks into that for genuineness.

My company has an up to date website, appears on google, has a facebook, twitter, instagram account also including customer reviews.

I would advise you to be active on social media (if your business nature allows that of course).

Normal rule: 2 FT jobs AFTER extension that existed for 12 months each.

Exception rule: IF date of ILR application is less than 12 months from date of extension, then you may claim for 2 FT jobs that existed immediately 12 months before the date of ILR.
