Is it okay to buy a house while awaiting decision on spouse visa?

Post by Jhelumi » Mon May 13, 2019 1:24 pm

Hello,

Scenario
Sponsorer living with parents completes the online application and pays the fees.
Applicant completes the biometrics.
Sponsor submits all the supporting documents.
Pending decision from the Home Office.

A few weeks later..
Sponsorer finds their first home and wishes to buy it on mortgage.
Still pending decision from the Home Office.

WIll this have any sort of impact on the spouse visa application?
Will the sponsorer need to inform the Home Office of the additional accomodation they now have access to?

If you had sufficient accommodation at the time of application and during the time of application process then there is no need to tell HO about your accommodation plans to keep the case straight. Regarding buy the home is all depends on your personal circumstances and level of affordability and your own market research in this time of Brexit.
The opinion expressed as above is neither a professional advice nor contesting/competing to other member's opinion/advice.

Thanks seagul for the clarity.
