Hello all
For accommodation which will be provided via a friend.
The friend is happy to provide a letter offering his apartment which he owns for the exclusive use as well as a copy of his deed of sale
Apart from these two documents I was wondering if I am required to provide any proof of currently living at my friend's apartment, like any utility bills, council tax? Am I required to show that I have already started living at his apartment?
Thank you

Deed of sale & friend noc letter should be fine. Although utility bills & council tax bills are not mandatory but still ideally your payslips & bank statements must show that apartment address.

Thank you Seagul for your reply
One of the conditions is my friend would prefer that keeping all bills under his name so i won't be able to make it officially on my payment slips or bank statements, Does that still be ok?

Then caseworker will carry out rigorous checks on such accomodation arrangement because having no recent document on that address such as payslip & bank statement gives impression that you don't live there or have no control of that accomodation.

Thank you so much Seagul for your advice
My friend has agreed I can change my bank statements, TV licence and GP correspondence to his address but won't be on utility bills or council tax
Not sure if anyone has ever been successful with such supported documents?

No issue if you won't be named on utility bills & council as long as other few documents showing your address. Try to change address on payslips too to match the address on bank statements.

Thanks a lot Seagul
Yes I will try to change the address on payslips as well
So far the documents I will think of providing are;
1- letter from a friend welcoming us to stay in his two bedroom apartment, he currently resides abroad and has no objection we can stay there as long as we wish
2- Copy of deed of sale to proof my friend's ownership
3- TV licence letter on that address
4- Bank statements on same address
5- Maybe last payslip on same address
Hopefully these will be sufficient

Yes seems fine but give your friend's (landlord) fully accessible contact in case if caseworker want to speak with him/her.
