Reporting Someone Before/After Application

Post by pipsaholic » Sat Jun 01, 2019 2:22 am

Hi,

Are you able to report someone abusing the immigration system before they make an application?

Or is it only after someone has gained an illegal visa based on false documents and information?

or can you do both?

If you wish then may report anytime but the said person if fulfilling all the requirements legally then more likely wont be affected.

If you report before an application is made how will the home office know about mr x or so as its not on the database of applications?

Will the home office create a file on the computer and then link it when the application is made or as I guess they will bin it as no application has been made?

If you will report anonymously then HO won't straightaway believe on it although may not ignore it too. But if you report & choose to give them your details too then you have to provide your full details too and if they wish then may check about you too in their immigration record. Again if the said person is capable to meet the full requirement then you may not be able to do anything much.

I have nothing to hide I have a UK passport and was born in the UK.

We all know people don't tell the truth in their application form and make stuff up in order to get the visa approved. I done it myself regarding employment dates and they never done checks and got the visa. This was 10 years ago however.

Its my legal duty to report someone as manipulating the system to gain a visa, just like its a legal duty to report witnessing a crime.

You can't report an immigration crime which hasn't happened yet.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

What will you gain from reporting a person to a crooked immigration body like UKVI.

You think the British immigration authority is without a sin? 🤦🏾‍♂️

You think anything that this person you want to report has done will ever outdo the many evil acts (deporting and detaining people, windrush, destroying families, deporting international students after wasting thousands of pounds on Uk education, depriving some children of immigrants a stable upbringing etc) committed by the British immigration authority?

You need to do it when they have committed the crime or when they are just about to do it. You don't have to give your details when you phone. Reports of fraud to the government are investigated and a lot of this information comes from the public. It's best not to tell anyone what you have done to keep yourself safe.

Fraud is a serious crime in the UK.

Slightly ironic that the OP wants to report someone potentially submitting a fraudulent application, having themselves admitted to getting away with obtaining a visa in the past with false information.

It's ironic we live in a fraud with child stealing by social services and kidnapping illegally by police on a daily basis as the public are unaware of powers to arrest judges and police. You also get a bonus to plead guilty called plea bargaining how wonderful our system is no wonder how many illegal people in this country.
