Child Under 18 Visa

Post by haha17ronaldo » Tue Jun 11, 2019 2:11 pm

Hi
I have been in uk under spouse visa (married to british citizen) and im about to apply for ILR this september and i have a child who is 16 years old and 7 months from previous marriage i was wondering if there was any way i could bring my child to the UK and for him to obtain ILR and then hopefully citizenship. Either by child dependent visa. If there is a chance what is the quickest and most effective way for him to earn ILR or BC

Unlikely you will get a visa if you don't have official court documents proving you have sole responsibility for the child.

If you share custody of the child with the other parent, then you do not have sole responsibility.

It is for exactly a limited leave to remain visa that you are required to prove sole responsibility.

You need to prove sole custody/responsibility. If you share custody with your ex then you do not have sole custody.
