Certified translation alternatives

Post by tugrulguclu » Thu Jun 13, 2019 9:36 am

Hello

I`ll apply for standart visa from Sweeden end of August. Home office asks for certified translations of documents which are not in English or Welsh. My tenancy agreement , bank statements and job contract are all in Swedish. Quotes I received from some translation companies are approximately 500£. They offer 24h turn around time etc. This costs more than 2 year visa application itself and probably the tickets to London :(

I can see reducing the number of documents as an alternative but this might also risk my application

Has anyone been in such a situation before ?

Thank yu

I am afraid but you have to spend on travel services as none-English documents won't be considered. Why not you speak to your employer, bank and landlord if they can issue you these documents in English language too.
