Vignette transfer

Post by Katos88 » Thu Jun 20, 2019 8:51 pm

Hello! Please help me. I’m from Russia. I got 30 days vignette for spouse visa but I can’t travel within this time. The first British passport for my son isn’t ready yet and I don’t know when it will be ready. It’s been already 4 months since we applied. Can I apply for vignette transfer after it expires or should I do it before it expires? Can I apply for vignette transfer even two months after vignette expiration? How many times can I apply for vignette transfer? I don’t know what to do. I didn’t find any information. I can’t leave my baby alone. My husband is waiting for us in Scotland. Nobody knows when his passport will be ready and we can’t speed up. Even our MP couldn’t help. I read that it’s impossible to get emergency travel document for the baby as it’s his first passport and we can’t apply for his visa because he is a British citizen, his father is British. Maybe we could apply for the right to abode for him?
Maybe I could leave him for a week with my relatives and go to Scotland for biometric data collection before my vignette expires but I read that BRP takes 8 weeks and I can’t travel without it. I can’t leave my baby for such a long time. I’m very sad and confused. Please give me any advice.

The brp card is available to collect a few days after arriving in UK. It does not take 8 weeks and you do not have to redo or enroll biometrics again.
