ILR 5 years Tier 2

Hello Guys,

My Tier 2 BRP issue date is 30/07/2014 and expiry is 14/07/2019. I was issued a 5 year Tier 2 visa by my employer. My concern is these dates dont fulfill the 5 year residence requirement, is this correct?
According to BRP the time works out to be 4 years, 11 months and 14 Days.


Can I apply for ILR or need another Tier-2

You can apply for ILR no sooner than within 28 days before the initial visa issue date. There is no requirement to have a visa valid upto or past the 5 year mark. It must be valid when you apply for ILR.

These details should have been checked when you got your visa and rectified if there was an error.
