ILR BRP Renewal

Post by panther4 » Tue Jun 25, 2019 2:32 am

Hi, I was granted ILR in 2014 and at that time I was a minor so my BRP card expires this year. I applied to renew my card as soon as it had less than 3 months validity but on the online application, it said I didn’t have to pay a fee and then i also managed to secure a free appointment on Sopra Steria’s website for the Croydon centre. However, after looking around online, everyone i’ve seen applying for BRP replacement/renewal has paid a £56 application fee and a £19.20 biometric enrolment fee. Should i be concerned about not paying anything even though my biometrics & documents have been sent off? My appointment letter even states “no fee” and i confused why..
Also, any idea how long it will take my new BRP card to arrive with this seemingly new system since I had plans to travel end of august :|
Thanks

Maybe because you are a minor. Don't worry as even later they discover it as an error then they will allow you to pay that fee. Its not your fault.
